Every price, in one list

All figures are Canadian dollars and are final: no tax is added at the invoice and nothing is billed later. Website builds are one-time prices and you own the result outright. Monthly plans are month-to-month with no lock-in and no notice period. Last reviewed 19 September 2026.

  • Launch website, 1 page: $449 one-time, and that is the final price. A single-page site for a trade, a consultant or a new business that needs to exist properly online before it needs anything more.

  • Business website, up to 15 pages: $1,199 one-time, and that is the final price. Trades, clinics and professional firms that need the site to bring in work rather than just exist: a page for every service, copy written to convert, and reviews on the page.
  • Store website, up to 6 pages plus your shop: $1,449 one-time, and that is the final price. Selling online, properly: Canadian tax, Canadian shipping and the payment methods Canadians actually use.

Website packages and prices

What every package includes, whatever the tier

  • The price shown is the price you pay. No tax added at the invoice, no setup fee discovered later.
  • You own the code, the domain and every account outright. Nothing is rented back to you.
  • Custom design. Not a template with your logo dropped into it.
  • Technical SEO, structured data and mobile speed as part of the build, never an upsell.
  • Structured content so ChatGPT, Perplexity and Google's AI answers can read and cite your business.
  • Conversion tracking configured, so you can see which marketing actually produced calls.
  • A written scope before anything starts, and a firm number attached to it.
  • An agreed number of design revisions, named in your scope before the work starts.

How our prices compare in Ottawa

We checked what Ottawa web designers publish for each kind of package, then set every build 15 to 20 percent under the cheapest comparable one. "Comparable" means custom design rather than a theme, a similar page count and a similar feature set, published by a studio with a verifiable Ottawa presence. Checked 19 September 2026.

  • One-page custom site (Custom design, mobile build, contact form): cheapest comparable published Ottawa price $549, ours $449. You pay 18 percent less, and ours is a final price where theirs is quoted before tax and bills hosting separately.
  • Custom site, 5 to 6 pages (The common small business brochure site): cheapest comparable published Ottawa price $999, ours $799. You pay 20 percent less, and ours is a final price where theirs is quoted before tax and bills hosting separately.
  • Custom site, up to 15 pages (A page per service, copywriting, blog): cheapest comparable published Ottawa price $1,499, ours $1,199. You pay 20 percent less, and ours is a final price where theirs is quoted before tax and bills hosting separately.
  • Online store, no product cap (Checkout, Canadian tax and shipping, inventory): cheapest comparable published Ottawa price $1,799, ours $1,449. You pay 19 percent less, and ours is a final price where theirs is quoted before tax and bills hosting separately.
  • Custom site with integrations (Design system, booking, CRM, automations): cheapest comparable published Ottawa price $2,999, ours $2,399. You pay 20 percent less, and ours is a final price where theirs is quoted before tax and bills hosting separately.
  • Social media management, two or three platforms: Canadian retainers run $500 to $2,000 a month. Fort Shinobi covers all 4 platforms plus Website Care for $399.
  • Template builds advertised from $269 are excluded and not priced against. A theme with your logo dropped into it, hosting billed separately, and no ownership of the build. It is a real product that suits some businesses. It is not a custom design, and we do not price against it.

Website Care: $99 a month, free for your first year

Website Care starts at launch and is $99 a month or $990 a year, month-to-month, cancel any time. We do not claim it undercuts the Ottawa market — on price it sits in the middle of it. What is different is the scope: most plans at this level are hosting with a backup attached, and this one also carries the search-visibility upkeep that decides whether the site keeps earning. A site nobody maintains does not fail loudly; it slows down, drifts out of the index and eventually gets broken into.

  • Managed hosting and SSL, issued and auto-renewed
  • Daily offsite backups, restorable to any day
  • Security patching — framework and dependencies updated as fixes are released, not once a year
  • Malware and intrusion monitoring
  • Uptime monitoring with alerting, so we usually know before you do
  • Technical SEO upkeep: schema stays valid, sitemap stays current, search engines keep indexing you properly
  • Speed and Core Web Vitals monitored, because Google ranks on them and they drift as a site grows
  • Broken links and errors found and fixed
  • Google Business Profile kept accurate
  • Direct access to the person who built your site, not a ticket queue

Social media management: $99 per platform per month

One price per platform, because the work is the same on all of them: a content calendar, 12 posts written for that platform, custom graphics in your brand, scheduling, first replies to comments and DMs, and a report you can read. Posts are written for each platform rather than copy-pasted across all four. You approve the month's content in one short review before anything goes out, and the accounts are in your name.

Canadian social media retainers run $500 to $2,000 a month for two or three platforms. Fort Shinobi covers 4 platforms and your website for $399 a month.

  • Facebook, $99 a month: Local reach and reviews. Still where most Ottawa customers over thirty look a business up first.
  • Instagram, $99 a month: Anything with a visual result: trades, food, salons, fitness, retail.
  • LinkedIn, $99 a month: Professional services, B2B, consultants and anyone selling to government or other businesses in Ottawa.
  • Threads, $99 a month: Conversation and reach that Instagram no longer gives text posts. Cheap to add when you are already on Instagram.
  • A content calendar and strategy for that platform
  • 12 posts a month, written for that platform rather than copy-pasted across all four
  • Custom graphics designed in your brand
  • Scheduling and publishing — you never touch it
  • First replies to comments and DMs; anything sensitive comes to you
  • A plain-language report every month

Fort Shinobi: $399 a month for the website and all 4 platforms

Your website kept working and all four social platforms planned, written, designed, posted and answered for you. Bought separately the same things are $495 a month, so the bundle takes off $96 every month.

  • Website Care: hosting, SSL, backups, patching, uptime monitoring and 30 minutes of changes a month
  • Facebook: 12 posts a month, graphics, replies and reporting
  • Instagram: 12 posts a month, graphics, replies and reporting
  • LinkedIn: 12 posts a month, graphics, replies and reporting
  • Threads: 12 posts a month, graphics, replies and reporting
  • One team, one monthly price, one person to call
  • Month-to-month. Add or drop a platform any month.

Add-ons and hourly rates

  • Additional page: $149. Beyond the page count in your tier.
  • Copywriting: $79 per page. Written for search and for a reader, not filled with placeholder text.
  • Logo and brand identity: $899, or $599 with a build. Primary logo, alternates, a mark, colour, type and a short brand guide.
  • Bilingual build (English and French): +40% of the tier price. Real translation with hreflang and translated metadata, not a widget.
  • Product data entry: $2 per product. Only if you need us to build your catalogue from photos or paper. One bulk import from a spreadsheet is already in the Store price.
  • Extra social platform: $99 a month. 12 posts a month on any platform not in your plan. TikTok, X, Pinterest and YouTube Shorts on request.
  • Changes outside scope: $65 per hour. Quoted in writing before the work, 30-minute minimum.

If you ever leave: a published $150 handover

There is no contract and no notice period, and the code, the domain and every account were in your name from the first day. The handover itself is $150, one time, and we publish that number rather than leaving it to be discovered at the end. The usual alternatives in this market are a vague "contact us", a monthly plan that quietly owns the site, or a domain sitting in the agency's own registrar account — all of which cost a leaving client far more than $150, and none of which appear on anybody's pricing page.

Deploying and testing the site on your new host is not included. If you would rather we did the move for you, we will quote it separately.

  • Your complete site code, packaged and ready to deploy elsewhere
  • Your domain released to whatever registrar you choose
  • A written setup document so any developer can put it live without calling us

Monthly marketing retainers

For a business that already has a site and wants more traffic to it. Separate from the plans above and never a requirement of a build.

  • Local SEO: $549 a month. Google Business Profile management and weekly posts. Local citation building and consistency. Monthly content written for real local search terms. Review responses. Monthly reporting on rankings, calls and form submissions.
  • Growth SEO: $999 a month. Everything in Local SEO. Two written guides a month. Link outreach and digital PR. Technical monitoring and Core Web Vitals. AI answer engine visibility tracking.
  • Ads Management: $399 a month plus ad spend. Google Search and Performance Max. Meta campaigns and retargeting. Conversion tracking configured before a dollar is spent. Landing pages matched to the ads. Reporting on cost per lead and cost per booked job. Minimum ad spend $500 a month.

Why we can price under the Ottawa market

No downtown office, no account management layer, and no sales team taking a commission on your project.

You talk to the person building the site, so nothing is lost, repeated or re-explained in a hand-off.

The engineering is reused across projects. Prerendering, structured data, sitemaps, forms and analytics are generated rather than rebuilt every time, so the hours go into your business rather than into plumbing we have already written.

The website and the social media come from the same desk, so the brand is drawn once and used everywhere instead of being rebuilt by a second supplier at a second markup.

Already have a quote? Our current promotion beats it by up to 20 percent

We are currently running a promotion: send us any verified quote and we will beat it by up to 20 percent.

  • The quote has to be a real written proposal you can show us, from any agency or freelancer anywhere. Not a verbal figure.
  • We match the scope line for line first, so the comparison is like for like
  • We come back with our best price, up to 20 percent under theirs, in writing and with the matched scope attached
  • Our written offer holds for 14 days
  • If we cannot beat it honestly, we tell you so and recommend you take their offer
  • A current promotion rather than a standing policy, so it can change — the offer you are given in writing does not

Running a restaurant?

Restaurants usually need the site, the online ordering and the menus together. Menu board hardware, installation, design and software are supplied at 35 to 40 percent under the published market range, and the hardware is yours outright.

Frequently asked questions

How much does a website cost in Ottawa?

At Shinobi Media a custom one-page site is $449, up to six pages is $799, up to fifteen pages is $1,199, an online store is $1,449 and up to thirty pages with integrations is $2,399 — and each of those is the final price, with no tax added at the invoice. That is 15 to 20 percent under the cheapest comparable packages published by Ottawa web designers in September 2026. Across Ottawa generally, published agency prices for a small business website run from about $999 to $4,000, and fully custom studio work runs $3,600 to $8,000.

Who is the cheapest web designer in Ottawa?

Template resellers advertise from $269, but that is a theme rather than a design, with hosting billed separately and no ownership of the build. Among studios that design custom, Shinobi Media publishes the lowest prices we can find in Ottawa: $449 for one page and $799 for up to six, each 15 to 20 percent under the cheapest comparable published package, and each a final price rather than a pre-tax one. We also beat any written quote for a matched scope by up to 20 percent.

How much does social media management cost in Ottawa?

Canadian social media retainers typically run $500 to $2,000 a month for two or three platforms. Shinobi Media charges $99 per platform per month for 12 posts written for that platform, custom graphics, scheduling, first replies and a monthly report. All 4 platforms plus Website Care is $399 a month.

What is Fort Shinobi?

Fort Shinobi is Website Care plus management of Facebook, Instagram, LinkedIn and Threads for $399 a month — $96 less than buying them separately. One team builds your website and runs your social media, on one monthly price, month-to-month, with no contract and no notice period.

What does Website Care include for $99 a month?

Managed hosting and SSL, daily offsite backups, security patching as fixes are released, malware and uptime monitoring, and the technical SEO upkeep that keeps you indexed and fast: schema kept valid, sitemap current, Core Web Vitals watched and broken links fixed. It is $99 a month or $990 a year, starting at launch, month-to-month with no contract and no minimum term.

Is HST included in these prices?

There is no HST line on your invoice. The figure on this page is the figure you pay, which is not how most Ottawa agencies quote — they publish a pre-tax number and add thirteen percent at the end.

What if I need more pages than my tier covers?

Additional pages are $149 each, which is the same custom design and build as the pages in the tier. For comparison, published per-page rates in Ottawa run to $300.

Does the Store tier really include unlimited products at $1,449?

Yes — there is no product cap and no per-product fee, and one bulk import of your product list from a spreadsheet we provide is part of the build. What is priced separately is us building your catalogue from photographs or paper, at $2 a product, because that is data entry rather than a website. Saying so here rather than in a change order later is the point.

Do you charge a deposit?

Fifty percent to start on Starter and above, with the balance at launch. The Launch tier is paid on delivery, so a single-page site costs you nothing until it exists. The scope, the number and the agreed number of design revisions are all written down before any work starts.

Is there an exit fee if I leave?

There is no contract, no notice period and no penalty, and the code, the domain and every account were in your name from day one. The handover is $150, one time: your complete site code packaged ready to deploy, your domain released to whatever registrar you choose, and a written setup document so any developer can put it live. Deploying and testing it on the new host is not part of that — if you would rather we did the move for you, we will quote it separately. We publish the figure so it is one you can read before you sign rather than one you find out on the way out.

Can I change or cancel my monthly plan?

Yes. Add or drop a social platform, or cancel Website Care, in any month. Everything monthly here is month-to-month with no lock-in and no notice period. You own your website, your domain and every social account from day one, so leaving costs you nothing but the next invoice you do not pay.

Can I pay monthly instead of up front?

Yes, on any build over $1,000, split across the project milestones at no extra cost. We do not run a subscription that owns your website, because that model only works if leaving is expensive, and here it is free.

What if another agency quotes me less?

Send us their written proposal. We match the scope line for line and come back with our best price, up to 20 percent under theirs, in writing. If we cannot do that honestly, we will tell you to take their offer.

How often do these prices change?

They are reviewed every quarter against the published prices of other Ottawa agencies, and the review date is printed at the top of this page. They were last reviewed on 19 September 2026. A price you were quoted is held for the duration of your written scope regardless of any review.
