Ottawa Web Design Portfolio
Every site below is either live for the client who owns it or an interactive build you can open right now. We have kept the two apart on purpose: the first group are real engagements, the second are concept builds hosted here to show a capability. Both tell you something, but only one of them is a client.

Live client websites
These are sites we designed and built that the client owns and runs today. Follow any of them and you are looking at the real thing, not a screenshot of it.
- Happy's Moving & Storage — Moving & Storage: Moving is a decision people make under time pressure, usually on a phone, usually while they have three other movers open in other tabs. The site is built around that reality: services and service area stated plainly, the quote request reachable from anywhere on the page, and the whole thing structured so it loads and reads properly on a phone before anything else.
- Silicon IT Systems — IT Services: An IT company's website is read by people who are technically literate and are comparing you against two or three others. That audience is unforgiving about vagueness and about slow, template-looking pages. The build gives each service its own space, states capability in plain language rather than marketing abstraction, and keeps the path to contact short for a visitor who has already decided.
- Ottawa House & Cabinet Painting — Home Services: A painting contractor competing in one of Ottawa's busiest trade categories. The work was local visibility rather than a redesign for its own sake: consistent citations, schema markup that lets Google resolve the business as a real local entity, service pages aimed at the searches homeowners actually type, and lead campaigns pointed at those pages.
- The Glam Spot — Beauty & Wellness: A beauty bar whose in-person experience was well ahead of the website representing it. The rebuild put the brand's actual look on screen — motion used to carry the feel of the space rather than for decoration — while keeping the page fast enough to survive a mobile connection and structured enough to rank locally.
- Good Luck Metals — Industrial & Trading: Scrap trading runs on price, and price moves during the day. The site carries a live rate ticker so a supplier can see current numbers without calling, and the quote flow is built to capture the enquiry at the moment those numbers look good — which is the only moment that matters in this trade.
Interactive concept builds
Working builds hosted on this domain. They exist because some things are easier to show than to describe — a booking engine that checks parts inventory as you book, or a kitchen display that updates as orders land. Open them and use them.

- Jimmy Suits — Retail & Luxury: A concept build for the luxury retail end of the market, where the site has to feel like the shop. Scroll-driven GSAP sequences, magnetic interaction on the controls, and a complete fitting reservation flow — built to show what is possible when a brand's presentation is the product.
- VR Pro — Events & Technology: A concept build demonstrating real-time 3D on the open web: Three.js and WebGL driving an immersive landing experience, alongside the practical parts a live event platform needs — registration, a live counter, and a community hub.
- Local Eats Co. — Restaurants & Food Service: A concept build of the ordering stack a restaurant actually needs if it wants off the delivery marketplaces: its own menu and checkout, a real-time kitchen display so orders land in the pass rather than on a tablet nobody watches, and rider tracking wired through.
- AutoPro Mechanics — Automotive: A concept build for the auto trade, where the booking is only useful if the parts are there. The scheduler checks parts inventory as the appointment is made and generates a quote on the spot, so the customer books a job that can actually be done on the day.
What every build has in common
The industries above have almost nothing to do with each other — a mover, an IT firm, a painter, a beauty bar, a scrap metal trader. What carries across is not a template. It is that each site was built around the single action that business needs a visitor to take, and then made fast enough and findable enough that the visitor gets there.
- Custom design per client — no template resold with a new logo dropped in
- Built mobile-first, because most local searches in Ottawa happen on a phone
- Technical SEO, structured data and semantic HTML as part of the build
- One conversion path per site, chosen deliberately rather than by default
- The client owns the code, the domain, and every account outright

Frequently asked questions
Can I contact your past clients?
Yes. Every live site listed above belongs to a real business you can look up and reach independently — that is rather the point of listing them by name and domain rather than as an anonymous case study.
Why are some projects concept builds rather than client sites?
Because some capabilities are hard to show any other way. A parts-aware booking engine or a live kitchen display is not something a client wants a stranger clicking through on their production site, so we built our own to demonstrate it. We label them as concepts rather than passing them off as engagements.
Do you only build for businesses in Ottawa?
Ottawa is home and most of our clients are here or in the surrounding region — Kanata, Nepean, Barrhaven, Orléans, Stittsville, Gloucester and Gatineau. The list above also includes work outside the region, which we take on remotely.
Can you build something like these for my business?
Almost certainly, and the first conversation is free. Call (613) 793-0724 or email info@shinobimedia.ca and tell us what the site needs to do. If you already have a written quote from another agency, bring it — we will match the scope and beat it.
